Rathfriland Young Farmers – A club on the move
Rathfriland YFC, a club that I have been a member for almost 20 years, recently undertook a major building project after selling their hall that was situated on Newry Street, in the spring of 2013. I attempted my first time lapse video, photographing the construction of the 520sq m hall based off the Downpatrick Street in Rathfriland, which was designed by Laverty Foster Chartered Architects, taking a picture on average once every fortnight.
The building work, managed by Moss Construction, began in March 2014 and the keys were handed over to club officials on Friday 6th March 2015.
This video was shown at the official launch event held on Saturday 25th April when the Permanent Secretary of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mr. Noel Lavery, declared the hall open.
