2013 World Police & Fire Games

Purple Rain owner Rebecca McConnell volunteered her PR services at the 2013 World Police & Fire Games held in Belfast in August. Serving as a member of the social media team, Rebecca attended four days of the global event, reporting via Twitter on the results, atmosphere and excitement of the global event which was hosted in Europe for only the second time. Covering 2020 cricket, mountain biking and rugby 7s, Rebecca also compiled a blog article at the end of each volunteer session.

This experience added to Rebecca’s skill set and allowed her to complete her Continuous Professional Development (CPD) with the Chartered Institute of Public Relations of which she is registered with as an Accredited Practitioner.
